The Berkshire - 25 June
« on: April 29, 2010, 10:52:32 AM »
I play in a society which has an annual meeting at the Berkshire.  This year it's on 25 June.  A round on the Red in the morning, lunch, which is a tremendous golf club lunch, up there with the best and a round on the Blue in the afternoon, followed by sandwiches.  It's not a cheap day at £137 but it is a great day's golf.  If anyone is interested I suspect there'll be a few spaces, so let me know.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Gareth,

Not sure what more there is to say.  Bacon rolls and coffee, 18 on the Red (4 man stableford comp), great lunch, 18 on Blue (same format), sandwiches and presentation.  Beer on terrace (if it's sunny). Go home.

Mark

I'd love to see The Berkshire and, as you know, I don't normally say no to such opportunties but I'm afraid on this occasion I'm out!

Thanks for making this available, maybe next year?
2014 to date: not actually played anywhere yet!
Still to come: Hollins Hall; Ripon City; Shipley; Perranporth; St Enodoc
