Here are some new photos of the course. As some of you know Tulsa got nailed with a 100 year event back in late April. We received 3 inches in two days and then we got 4 plus inches in about 2.5 hours the next morning. The course suffered a lot of damage. 6 of the 19 greens had to be cored out and reseeded. 4 more greens were partially cored out and reseeded as well. Holes 1,4, and 5 we lost over 70 percent of the sod on the fairways (sod hadn't rooted in yet). The canyon holes (4,5,6a,6b) took the biggest hit. The creek was completely filled in with rubble and the bridges were all destroyed. Most of the damage has been fixed but we are waiting on the bridges to be replaced. There was some sort of damage on every hole. As a result the course will most likely open next spring. The grow in budget is very tight. Course Superintendent Jeremy Dobson (formerly 1st assistant at Southern Hills) has had his hands full to put it lightly. In the photos you will notice that the bunker sand is covered with plastic to keep the sand from getting contaminated. All 19 greens and approaches have been grassed and are growing in. We have 2 full fairways and 2 partial fairways to grass.
