Not sure who might be interested in these photos of the club and some other area courses. The Tuxedo Golf Club photos are from 1902-1925 and show some of the course and a tournament in which it  appears to be Walter Travis. Not very descriptive photos but something nonetheless.

Just search golf and three pages of photos etc will come up. Enjoy.

I couldn't find the photos of the old Tuxedo Park course in that website but you are aware, aren't you, that the course inside the park itself no longer exists? The new course is just outside the park. Tuxedo Park itself really is an amazing place----eg very old world. It was a very private and quite massive preserve begun by tobacco king Pierre Lorrillard. It is historically best known for its racquet sports, including a court tennis court of which there are less than ten in America.

The other golf course pictured is Zukor's private estate course, otherwise known as Mountain View GC. It was designed by Tilly and eventually changed its name to Dellwood.

When I hear Tuxedo Park, I think of the wonderful book about Alfred Loomis and his mostly unknown role in WWII.

My first work gig after college was in northern NJ, and I rented a place in Greenwood Lake, NY.   Passed Tuxedo Park every day and always wondered, "What the heck is in there?"

Fascinating area - close to the Appalachian Trail, the Hudson River, yet so exclusive.
