May Southern Americans participate?  If so, please advise if the rounds are Sat. p.m. and Sunday a.m. for travel purposes.

Thanks for the invitation. If there's still room, I'd like to participate. I'm really an East team member, but I have never lived in Michigan and went to law school in Chicago, so West would work too.

Hi Tom/George/all...

Count me in for the Michigan and East...can't get much further east than Boston.

I will be finishing a business trip in South Bend on either Thurs. or Friday the week preceding.

Thanks!

I'd love to come, but that's the same weekend as the 100th Annual Travis Invitational at Garden City...

Have a great time everyone!

Tom and George,

Rob Bice asked me to see if he could be added to the squad for the West team.

Thanks,

Sven

Since he doesn't have the balls to do it, add JC Jones to the East team. Professors don't really need to be at graduations anyway.  :o

If everybody chips in and puts pressure on him and I know he'll cave in.  ;D

Mr. Hendren,

Our Brothers from the south (or anywhere else) are always welcome!  This is by no means an event just for the Midwest gang!

As Tom said, the plan right now is to do Sat pm and a Sunday am rounds at Lost Dunes.  Dinner will be at Lost Dunes Sat evening and hopefully we can get Tom to talk about Lost Dunes and do a Q&A.

We're still working on another possible venue for Saturday am.

Hope you can make it!

If there is space, I'm in.  I'd like to represent Chicago but since my wife is from Michigan, I can hit from either side of the plate.  Thank you for the offer.

George-

I see that my request to play for the East team as a new Florida resident was denied by Captain Doak.

As such I am happy to represent my native Minnesnowta for your West team and my only request is the opportunity to take down Tom in one of the matches.  ;D

Everyone who has committed up to this point (via this thread) has a spot.

Only two spots left!

Not sure if you did or not but don't count JC as I was merely joking.

Bill,

You are in!

One spot left.

George:

See my second post for my count so far, and see if there is a difference with your count.  Let me know who it is.

I think we should reserve a couple of captain's picks for each team, that don't have to be first come-first served.  Up to you how you use them.  I will probably go off the World Ranking List.

Also, I don't know which team Billsteele counts for.

I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

If there's room and Newbie's are allowed, I'd love to participate.  Metro-Detroiter here, so East Team for me.

Reserving Captain's picks is a good idea.  It will allow the Chicago/West captain to reserve spots for Blackhawks players who should be free to play golf come mid-May.   ;)

Shivas:  It will certainly be match play, so you're in.  And call whomever you want, for either side, but we need to hear about it on this thread if they are going to be part of the event.

The reason Shivas raises the issue of potential 8 putts is that he remembers how he played the 17th at Pasatiempo in Kings Putter II.  Some memories never fade.   ;D
