North Korea is weird, wild and yet not at that wonderful. Have a good story from my trip a few years back-
Hiking in the mountains and it started to snow heavily. Got separated from the main group with a few others and were escorted down by two North Korean 'minders'. One of the minders, a young attractive women walking us back asked if we mind if she sings a song. She said that when it snows she loves to sing a certain song, a lullaby. Sure, of course, we replied. So, she sings a beautiful song, very emotional. I asked what the lyrics meant and the translation came through something like this-
Kim Jong-Il, we know you can't sleep when it snows. We know you are worried about your people. Your people are ok, we are warm, so go Dear Leader please go to sleep. Don't worry about us, we will be fine, go to sleep.
