Grail Quest 2010, LTD Version

Here's the enterprise, should you be brave (and free) enough to accept it:  a triumvirate of erstwhile traveling golfers, driving from Buffalo, NY to Williamsburg, VA, in July of 2010.  They can play one course on the way to their destination and one course on the way back.  Imagine that they have unlimited funding and access, making the public/private (no matter how exclusive) no matter.  The only restriction is that the great clubs of Long Island, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are off-limits.  What two courses would you have them play?  Have at it and thanks on behalf of the Gang of Three.

They are a bit out of the way of your trip, but probably worth the drive.

I agree with Baltimore CC. The East course is one of my all-time favorites. I played there quite a bit when I lived in Baltimore before the renovation. I hear it's even better with the changes they made to get ready for the U.S. Senior Open.

A day of 36 in Jersey might be a good way to break up your trip and avoid the NYC/Westchester traffic... you could do 2 rounds from the likes of Plainfield, Somerset Hills or Ridgewood.
