I have not played any of the Top 50, but I have walked around Cherry Hills quite a bit and can't believe there's any reason it would make such a list were it not for the '60 US Open factor. It's a fine course, I guess, but I have at least visited several other Top 50 courses and CH isn't in the same neighborhood.

I have played Kapalua Pantation, which several previously mentioned as a potential Top 50 replacement, and it was far and above CH.

It seems pretty unanimous that people are leaving Baltusrol lower off their top 50 golf courses. I have not played the course but have heard that same sentiment from people outside this forum. Can anyone give details to why the hype (golf digest top 100) and the flaws that do not allow it to be at the next level?
