I much preferred the East having played both many times. They hosted the US Am Pub Links back in 2003 I believe. The sales and "development" of that property has gone through many iterations which have been bounced back and forth due to the timing of it all (economy). One of the later iterations was for it to be developed as a 55+ community that would retain 9 holes of golf. It has laid dormant now for a couple years.
Strange to drive by it now and see what was once clearly a very good golf course covered in knee high growth.
