Need Advice - Golf in Lombok, Indonesia

I am currently on a cruise ship headed to Lombok, Indonesia and I am looking to play a round there.  As far as I can tell, there are two courses on the island.

The choices are:

LOMBOK GOLF KOSAIDO COUNTRY CLUB - Peter Thomspon design

OR

RINJANI GOLF CLUB - Jack Nicklaus design

Has anyone played one or both and could provide some insight.  I only have time to try one.  Also note, I am playing Nirwana the next day.

I have played plenty of golf in Indonesia , but never Lombok , so I cant really answer your question .

BUT , from past experience I would take a Thompson-Wolveridge over a Nicklaus anytime !

Would love to see some pics. of what your choice was .

Jason- haven't played golf in Lombok, but you will definitely enjoy Nirwana.  The 7th is one of my favorite holes in Asia, play from the back tees if possible, they have the longest carry and the best view of Tanah Lot (the Hindu temple built into the ocean). 

No side trips to Komodo?
