The Topeka newspapers kept very good tabs on the progress at Topeka County Club.  Here are two more layouts to add.  The first is from shortly after the Langford & Moreau design was published.

Topeka State Journal-May 28th, 1921:

The second shows the progress of the Langford & Moreau design.

I never knew this even existed. Was it actually built?

This looks very much like the location of the Jim Ager Junior Course which was a staple of childhood in my family. I had no idea a full-size course was ever planned for the area, and the Junior has been there as long as any of us can remember.

Matt:

The course was built around 1920 and was around at least until the 1940's.  I had the wrong date for the article (1941 is correct), and just updated it in the post above.

It was reduced from 18 to 9 holes some time in the mid-1930's.

Sven,

I don't believe Madison Country Club ever got off the ground.   Likely a victim of the Depression.

Thanks Sven.

After some research I've discovered this is indeed where the Jim Ager Jr. course is now which was built in the early 60s; I've been trying to figure out if any of the original greens might be in use, but it doesn't appear that they are.

I have a personal connection to the Ager course so it is fascinating to learn more about its history, which is scarce.

There's been a bit of talk lately about Capt. Alison's course at St. Andrews Bay which is now known as Panama CC.

The other course built near Panama City around the same time was the Bunker Cove GC, a 9 holer built as part of a massive housing development.
