Snead vs. Divicenzo on the Golf Channel Right Now!

The Golf Channel is showing an old Shell's WWOG right now, Sam Snead vs. Roberto Divecenzo. I think they are playing at the Jockey Club in Argentina.

They are playing at Congressional Country Club in DC.  The first thing you notice is how open it is (no trees).  But also how far out the bunkers are from the fairways, you would have to miss the fairway and 10-15 yards of rough to even find the fairway bunkers.

Loved the way the course looked!.  A little burnt and shaggy.  Kind of crispy.  Greens a little grainy and probably slow.  Actually, you could see the ball slam on the breaks right as it stopped...  And that was the first time I saw the croquet style putting.

Very cool, wish they'd show more of these.

Putting that way with a Bullseye just doesn't seem right.

Once Snead went to side-saddle,I think he got a lot more upright.

It was felt to be an advantage since it made it easier to have a pure pendulum stroke.  Plus it looked stupid.
