Jim,

I think Cristian Willaert's holes 3 and 6 need to be changed on his list.

Kalen,

After the first three rounds, I was most envious of your course (next to mine).  What happened!?

Jordan,

I still think my course is the one to beat, especially after this latest round of Doak Specials!! :)

P.S.  I could have waited to do pick the local course hole, but its still a really neat par 3 and wanted to set an example for the rest of the folks to include at least one local course.

Jordan, thanks I've fixed it and it'll show up on the next update.

I agree, Kalen killed it with that last pick.  I was thinking about picking the 6th at Pac Dunes with my next one.  Imagine that back-to-back with 7th at Ballyneal.

My only birdie there is number 5.  I think I tripled that on 5 this past summer though.

He picked that ghastly par 3 from Thanksgiving Point. If he wanted to pick from Utah, he could have gone to Hideout by FR.

Kalen,

I don't dream of playing my local course.

True enough...

But some lucky people do get to call these courses on this thread thier "local" course.

Either way, its still a really good hole and I'll keep it on there!  ;)

No, I wanted the 12th at Cape Kidnappers but Patrick stole it several picks before me.

But if I had a real dream course, it would be from mostly ODG's, because I haven't gotten to see a lot of their work and am very interested in doing so.  All the above courses I want to see, and I have seen four already - of those four, five holes are represnted here, and they are all dream holes.  Why not continue that trend!?

No reason, I was just wondering if you were implementing any constraints into your selection process. I think some of us are doing it in different ways (i.e. adhering to specific numbering, approach to par, balance, etc.). Just interested was all.

Thanks

I want it to be at least a par-70 and no higher than a par-73.

Aside from that, I just wanted a diverse mix of holes (short 4's, 5's, and 3's, as well as long ones, etc) of the highest quality.  I think it's going well.

Are you implementing any constraints?

Rye, 7th hole, par 3, 160 yds

Portmarnock, 15th hole, par 3, 190 yds

Holston Hills, 5th hole, par 5, 614 yds

I didn't want to submit autopicks since I was sure Chip would pick something I had on my list, but he spared me this time around.  Not so lucky with Jordan (17th at Oakmont) and Tim Bert (my backup 17th hole pic, never thought that one was at risk!).

TB is clearly the "sleeper pick thief" having also taken my #2, Pacific Dunes which I thought would've lasted through a few more rounds.
