Jim,

Welcome. You have a pretty interested resume working with Pete Dye, Rees Jones and David Kidd.  There must be some good stories there, hopefully you will be able to share some of the contrasts and similarities.

Our last project "Huntsman Springs" should get some attention. Business is on hold as with the rest of the economy....

Welcome aboard!
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Jim,

Congrats on your work at Huntsman - the photos look really interesting and I am looking fwd to seeing the course next summer.

Can you give us any insight into how it was to work on that project - especially with the wetlands?

What was the soil like? Did you have to significantly top dress? How much dirt was moved? What kind of "look" were you going for?

Any thoughts would be appreciated - and welcome (back) to the site!

Rob,

Thanks I played the course over a 5 day period and had a lot fun, by the way I represent the high handicaper (bad golf fast).

The course was alot of fun to build and I truely love the Teton Valley.  The soil was bank run gravel 6" minus capped wtih blow sand from the near by dunes. Nick Schaans plans had us enhance or create 65 acers of wetlands. The earth works I will defer to David Kidd or Nick Schaan for discussion. The look was to bring the native wetlands futher into the property and accentuate the natural landscape.

Thanks, Jim

Well, golll dang!

Hiya Jim....I'm happy you're here, but it's kind of an obvious sign of how slow things are, huh?

Only advice I have is to remain politically neutral here...... ;)

Good to have you here, and I'm looking forward to the next chance to cook a big ol' ribeye for ya.
