I read the press release, which looks like all good news for the retention of the Sharp Park golf course.

I love the butchering of the English language by bureaucrats.  How about this beauty?

Good news! Thanks to the many GCA-ers who have supported the efforts of the SF Public Golf Alliance over the past few months.

This is great news for the preservation of MacKenzie at Sharp Park.

This is good news but  we are at the 4th hole of an 18 hole match and their is a long way to go.  I suspect that it will still have some form of litagation, the CBD is not going to give up that easy.

The other aspect is finding the money to do much of the work that is proposed and using an architect like Mike Devries other than the citys golf architect.

the city has an architect on payroll? ??? ::)
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Not on payroll, as a consultant.

Of course the city knows nothing about architecture or classic architecture so they hired a local guy on the cheap.  His name is Doug Nickles.

Some good news there.  Thanks for posting the press release, though reading it is certainly a trip into another world.

I liked reading how the "city's frog and snake expert" called people's attention to the discovery of a dead SF garter snake in a neighboring subdivision and her conclusions about the predator.

What great news.  Thank you for posting this Mike.  I'd had hoped to hear your name connected with it though.
"Whether my schedule for the next day called for a tournament round or a trip to the practice tee, the prospect that there was going to be golf in it made me feel priviledged and extremely happy, and I couldn't wait for the sun to come up the next morning so that I could get on the course"-BH
