Gutted doesn't even begin to describe it!

Gareth: what about another one before October 9?!

I do keep in contact with the club and there are sometimes days you can get a smaller second group out on the same day as a larger one (in season)

Obviously the cost goes up quite a bit (£130 for the day I think) so it's not the value it is out of season.

I'm happy to flag another date and get a smaller group together - say 12-18 people - in the Summer/Autumn.

One thing that I thought was worthy of note and something I'm surprised no-one else has commented on yet was the relaxation of the dress code at Swinley.  What is the world coming to when a man can eat his lunch at Swinley Forest in a golf shirt?  Without a tie?

Standards aren't what they were.......
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

My commitment is there, but there is a growing awareness that I am testing my boss's patience ;D

Good to hear re: summer. I reckon 54 in a day wouldn't be out of the question!!

Good point, well made Mark.

Next time I will insist we all wear our best Wing Commander/Group captain and Lord Fortiscue Smythe outfits... :)
