Another embarrassing thread.

Anthony, a question for you rather than Barney.  Have you sought assistance for your addiction to attention seeking behaviour?

I really hate do this and respond to your your question since this should be about John. Perhaps this should be asked on "Get to Know..Anthony Gray". But yes. My parents took me for counceling when I was in 11th grade. There was this beautiful girl in my calculus class. She was a phillipino/italian mix. I mean perfect. Dark brown eyes..gorgious. I could not get her attention , so one day in chemistry lab I poured alchol on me and set myself on fire. Man that hurt.

Why can't people resist the temptation to respond to topics like this?  Please don't use this place to respond to my question; it was rhetorical!. But, I do allow IM's.
It seems to me that the beauty of this discussion board is that topics disappear when there are no responses.

Anthony Gray,

That is one of the sadddest things I have ever heard and I feel immensely sorry that I called you out.

My wish is for you to get professional help.

It is also my wish that in all decency, we put an end to continuing this thread.

Respectfully agreed Bob. The thread was never inteded to upset. But I admit I was fascinated by some of the posts. I would have never allowed a rude comment by John and he would not have made one. It was ment for fun but obviously deteriated early. I never really set my self on fire, but there was a girl like that in my class. I'll be in Monterey soon and would like to treat you and your bride for dinner at Fandango. It would be gentlemannly of you to accept.

I never really set my self on fire

So when asked about your habit of drawing attention to yourself, the explanation given consists of a fabrication that again draws attention to yourself.

As always, you excel yourself.  Again coming across with love and understand for your fellow man. The real milk of human kindness displaying total sympathy with your subject, yet somehow never interject any real substance or structure into any of your debates.

Research stations out in the middle of the jungles, deserts and oceans are franticly searching for antidotes for the venom you spray. Please take care, like the Scorpion; I fear that you are not immune to your own venom. :'(

Enjoy your slithering day 8)

Let's get back to asking John some architecture questions. He is a member at St Louis and Victoria National.

Anthony Ray Gray DMD. PC, GCA

What are some good trends you are seeing in golf architecture?

What are some poor trends you are seeing in golf architurcture?

What courses were disappointing on the first play but then got better?

Anthony,    For what it's worth - I have  a poor golf swing not a poor memory! My memory of John Kavanaugh was that of a very witty man who was golf knowledgable and quite frankly someone I might have enjoyed hosting at my club in Chicago-who knows maybe I someday will. On the other hand , John could be very polarizing with caustic remarks that were at times in arguably poor taste. He is human, so we know he isn't perfect. Who is. The fact that this is Ran's site and we are all "guests" would make me feel the same way I feel when I am a guest at someone else's club. As you know, John was removed from our forum. My sense then, and today, is that Bob did not  agree that a banned individual should be the topic of a Q and A without prior approval of Ran. Is this so unreasonable? Sometimes what may have seemed like a good idea in the end isn't - just my opinion. As far as me standing up for Bob because he is a friend, I would submit that he is a friendly guy who you can learn alot about golf and life from- pretty interesting man that won't be around forever. As an aside- Glad you are saving lives this late on a cold night- I shall be at it in the AM. Be good,  Jack

Geez, some of you guys need to take off your sassypants and chill out.  Im laughing at all the "internet guys" popping up in this post... no need to be so serious.

On another note, a seperate "off topic" folder might be enough to keep the strictly-for-architecture types and those who like to talk OT equally and totally happy.  It'd reduce a lot of the silly tenson around here.  Can we have one?
I still like Greywalls better.

Have you discussed this with Ran? If not, I suggest you do so.
