I disagree with the relatively unknown as a reason for any of his choices.

I'd guess he chose Kidd in part because he would be open and malleable to Mr. Keiser's ideas.
Now that he knows who he likes to work with why would he risk working with less?

[/quote] I believe it was in Golfweek about two years back, that Keiser wanted to recreate a St. Andrews type town feel.  There is going to be a golf course down in the town of Bandon with homes.  I believe it is near the old Bandon airstrip which I believe he bought.

Its not me, I am concentrating (or dreaming is a better word) on the olympics golf course! So we are narrowing it down!

Was just reading the old Feature Intyerview with Mike K and came across this. May not have come to fruition, but it's a better hint than I have seen elsewhere:

Of course Old Mac was the fourth course, but still...

28. Who will he select as the architect for the 4th golf course, and why?
I’m very impressed by Kingsbarns, so Mark Parsinnen and I have talked often of collaborating. We’ll see.
