Semi OT - "You know you're in trouble when you get to a golf course and see _______________." My answer - statues of animals on the golf course. I saw a course today in NJ that had several big metal horse statues right on the course between fairways. Never a good sign  |

Cory: They play fivesomes and sixsomes at San Francisco Golf Club all the time. But you would be in trouble there because you didn't know that. |

1. the scorecard and it says "an Arnold Palmer design"....
2. that there are 3 sets of tees- 7800, 7000 and 5600
3. that the flower bed around the first tee is larger than the tee box
4. the sign by the first tee says, "no alcoholic beverages allowed"
5. the group you're paired with has more than 1 ball retriever between them.
6. the guy you're playing with claims to be a 21 index, pushes you into a larger nassau than you're comfortable with and is 2 under gross after 3...

An Oregon muni favorite - the guys you've been paired with take off their shirts after they get to their ball after a 80 yard drive.
From a GCA standpoint, waterfalls.
Or course attendants wearing knickers.

I think you're in a bit of trouble when you get to the course and a sign says "Carts Mandatory." That usually leads to slow play and a goofy course. Though not 100% of the time.

The 6 handicap who joined your game from Canada who hasn't played in 12 weeks shoots 31 on the front, double bogies 10 and still shoots 34 on the back.
