I like the no winner approach.  I'm shooting for personal satisfaction, which is why I'm stretching the rules here a bit but I don't care.  My second course isn't in the dirt and my third course isn't a course, but whether or not Jim revokes them I have the satisfaction of knowing that in my fantasy world only I can have access to these places.  Seriously, I don't see why we can't speculate on future sites if we are willing to live with the risk that it never gets done and we have nowhere to play.

Nah...that would devolve into fights and a popularity contest...maybe Jim should send it to a panel of OUTSIDE experts like the SI roundtable to get their opinions?

Any vote will cause fights and controversy.  Either way though, there should be a winner, if only to make people post their picks more quickly! ;)

How about only actual GCA's get to vote? Remeber the criteria is not the BEST courses, but the best courses to play for the rest of your life.....

In my fantasy world....when I tire of playing golf at my clubs in the UK and the land down under, I always enjoy a summer-long respite in and around Amsterdam, playing a couple of Harry Shapland's Dutch classics that I am very fortunate to belong to.  (I do enjoy hosting fellow gcaers at my clubs in Holland as they always seem to have a grand time.) Come on over anytime.

In the 4th round of the 2009 GCA.Com Mock Fantasy Draft I choose:

H.S. Colt

Woodhall Spa
Kennemer
De Pan

Jud - I thought your short list was as follows:

"Next: Waialae, PV, Kingsley, Rolling Rock, Beverly, NGLA, Butterfield, Old Mac"

...in which case I have 3 on your short list!

TBert - Nice work - I was thinking of doing the same in a later round but forgot about the Swanson Golf Center to round out the three.

However, I still have a similar trick up my sleeve (unless someone else goes the sneaky route before me).

Jim - I would rather that my team name was "Grundle" . . .

C'mon dudes,

Where's the love for Langford and Moreau?

So many here say they would rather play at Lawsonia than at Whistling Straits, so where is it?

Alex - not cool at all! I had KP down for that list of courses as another option as well - just not sure about Dundonald :)

I still have a couple of options alive but I will probably have to head back to the drawing board for my back to back pics since they won't happen for about twelve hours and you guys are "t'ieves, t'ieves I tell you!"

Fownes - Oakmont.

Yup, I did it.  Now I have Oakmont in summer, and Seminole in winter.  If I feel like it, I can jet to England for some Colt or up to Scotland for TOC.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

What do you want in a three way so I can reach out to that party...

I hope we don't have to wait another six hours for Jaeger.  That was ridiculous yesterday. 8)
