Escape from Overseed
« on: October 13, 2009, 06:20:37 PM »
Tom Yost and I are embarking on a weekend trek to enjoy some conditions not influenced by the ravages of overseeding that currently plagues the Phoenix area.  We have room for two more.  Itinerary is as follows:

Friday PM - Depart Phoenix (East Valley) for Pinetop.

Saturday 0830 - Silver Creek GC, White Mountain Lakes.  I believe it is Gary Panks' first 18 hole course.  Usually plays very fast and firm this time of year.

Saturday PM.  Still a bit up in the air.  Working on access to either White Mountain CC or Pinetop Country Club.  If those don't work out, we will likely replay Silver Creek.

Sunday 1150 - Rim Club, Payson.  Stop to play Weiskopf/Morris design on way back to Valley.

Lodging will be at my cabin at WMCC.  If anyone wishes to just meet us in Payson on Sunday, that would probably be ok too.

Any takers?

Links at Las Palomas is not on your list? Perhaps the best conditioned non-overseeded venue within a few hours of you, gents.

Isn't overseeding the antithesis of "green" (environmentally good)?
