The really cool thing is that without Bandon Dunes there would be no 2nd, 3rd or 4th course and without the 2,3,4th courses, Bandon would suffer tremendously as time went on. So we should just all admire and enjoy this phenonem which has given us.

I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Here's another way to look at it. I've only played BT and BD and I liked BT more. I thought the course had more variety in the architecture, the green complexes were much more interesting, and the course felt more complete. Obviously everyone thinks PD is the best and people on this site are already raving about OM. So...what resort can boast that it's fourth best course is as good as BD? I'd rather play BD than almost any of the courses at Kohler (not necessarily saying it's a better course). BD would be the second best course at Pinehurst. I like BD better than Spanish Bay or Spyglass. So while BD may suffer in comparison to the other courses it got the resort going and is still better than the most other courses at most resorts.

I just wish I lived as close to Bandon as I do Pinehurst so my dad would have retired there and I could go visit him frequently.  ;D
