Have heard nothing but great things about the Westmoor renovation. Well done!

This is helpful for the other clubs in the area as their boards can see a recent renovation that turned out well despite the usual objections going in.

Thanks for the comment.

Have you had a chance to play it yet?  I believe our biggest accomplishment of the project are the conditions on the newly grassed greens.  They came in very well in a very short time frame.  Our Golf Course Manager Jerry Kershasky had an exceptional grow in regiment. 

We are continuing a massive seeding / fertility program to speed up recovery in areas outside of the new features.

Thanks for posting this, and I gave a look at the photos and work -- lots of changes.

An earlier Milwaukee J-S article by Gary D'Amato suggested the course was trying to emulate something of a Langford/Moreau look. How do you think that turned out? #3 has always struck me as vaguely Langford-esque -- any other specific holes that you think achieve that look?

Thanks -- looks like a worthwhile project (my neighbor and good friend grew up on this course....)

I think they got as close as they could to that Langford "look".  IMO the 9th and 12th are the closest.  Those were 2 of the 4 holes where they reconstructed the greens and built them up.  The rest of the greens retained the same surface so they could not be moved at all.  They cored out around the greens to give them a raised look and better resemble a Langford cut and fill.  All in all Todd Quitno (Senior Project Architect) for Lohmann Golf Designs created one beautiful and challenging course.
