Mystery club logo - can anyone help?
« on: August 15, 2011, 07:08:39 AM »
My mate found this marker while we were playing at The Lakes in Sydney last weekend.

Does anyone know where it's from?

That's a tough one Scott, but i'll hazard a guess that it's a marker from "Le Club" ;D
2024: RSt.D; Mill Ride; Milford; Notts; JCB, Jameson Links, Druids Glen, Royal Dublin, Portmarnock, Old Head, Addington, Parkstone, Denham, Thurlestone, Dartmouth, Rustic Canyon, LACC (N), MPCC (Shore), Cal Club, San Fran, Epsom, Casa Serena, Hayling, Co. Sligo, Strandhill, Carne, Cleeve Hill

My accredited, Sherlock Holmes Scouting Badge, powers of observation suggests it came from a golfer's pocket although it’s possible it fell direct from his bag.

Really I think if you expect answers you should be providing more info.
Exactly where on the course was this found?
Weather, light, wind conditions for the previous 24 hrs would be helpful.

Perhaps Inspector Chapper’s has high level contacts in 'Police Judiciaire' who might help?

Has it been fingerprinted or DNA samples taken?  I strongly suspect if you find the man who dropped it you’ll be able to close this case pdq!  (Note I use ‘man’ as a generic term and haven’t discounted the possibility it fell from a purse).  How many members are there to start the cross search with?  Has there been a lot of guest play recently?

This is a tough one based on the limited info we have.
Let's make GCA grate again!

We may not have the guys fingerprints who lost it, but we sure do have Scott's.
Thinking of Bob, Rihc, Bill, George, Neil, Dr. Childs, & Tiger.

Instead of "golf club" .... in french it's Le Club de Golf

A soil sample from any residue on the peg should clear this up.

I believe it's a nom de jeu for Vidauban.
