Hilton Head - 9/5 - 9/12
« on: September 04, 2009, 10:20:29 AM »
I'm heading down to Hilton Head tomorrow with the family.  Wasn't sure if there were any GCA'ers down in that neck of the swamp, but send me a PM and perhaps we can meet up for a round and/or lunch or something.  Although I've been there a few times, any recommendations for golf are appreciated.

Harbour Town is everyone's favorite, but I prefer Long Cove.

Jim,

Not sure if you can swing it but our group really, really liked Berkley Hall when we we're there. Had a ton of strategy whils still forgiving & some great conditioning.

Jim,

I'd try to play May River at Palmetto Bluff. That's my favorite course in the area although I haven't played them all. Ran has a nice write-up on the course.

Jim,
Play Long Cove, Colleton River, Belfair, May River and Secession...with Chechessee Creek being the last option. Harbor Town isnt worth it. I spent 5 years on the island and this time of year is THE BEST for conditioning and weather.
