It's been a number of years, but had the pleasure of playing Belgrade Lakes on two occasions. As I recall 15 minute tee times resulted in a relatively quick round.  I assume you have seen the website with rocks as rough on a number of holes.  Excellent routing as it is a very hilly site with the hills almost always between holes.  The golf is quite good and by the fun factor is high. One of the more enjoyable rounds of golf I have played. The view from the first tee is unsurpassed.  Enjoy!

The 9th/18th as mentioned by Martin below:

I'll second what Cliff said.

The course is a ton of fun, and the views are remarkable.

It's quite a difficult site for a course, but the routing is up to the task.

And the staff was A++ friendly, which you don't often see in such public courses.

PS  Don't miss the chance to take your Longest Putt Ever; the 9th and 18th greens are attached by a tiny sliver, which can allow for a 75-yard putt if you "accidentally" hit to the wrong green.

Just an aside: Lassing Pointe #18 has a 101yd long green, allowing for puts near 300ft. And further, there is good use of that entire green, which sits diagonally mostly across a pond, allowing for appoach shots with 9-iron or 5-wood; or anything in between, from the same drive, depending on pin placement. Nice hole.

Where is everybody? Where is Tommy N? Where is John K? Where is Jay F? What has happened here? Has my absence caused this chaos? I'm sorry. All my rowdy friends have settled down ......... somewhere else!

I love Belgrade Lakes. A tad pricey but they do a nice job. Clive Clark design.
It's owned by the family of the late Harold Alfond. The former owner of Dexter shoe, his family lived nearby. Mr. Alfond donated huge amounts of money to hospitals and universities in Maine. The family still owns a share of the Boston Red Sox.
