Golf Blog Roll
« on: August 01, 2009, 08:28:47 AM »
Recently, I was doing a comprehensive search of golf blogs and found that many of the top golf bloggers are GCA guys.  What are your some of your favorite golf blogs?  Throw some links up if I missed any, pimp your own blog, etc. and maybe this thread can act as blog roll of sorts.  Happy hunting.

I do one of the courses I have been playing over here, which I plan to continue with the tracks I get to in Europe, the US and back home when I return to Australia.

Link is in my sig, but in case I change it in the future: www.theglobalgolfer.blogspot.com

The name is a shameless rip-off from Gordon Jones' awesome rollcall of envy-inducing courses: www.thelondongolfer.co.uk

Check out www.turfhugger.com too.

It's a recently launched, currently growing site, with an admirable aim. I'll begin contributing a blog there shortly as well.

Jim,

I have to ask.  Your GCA posts show 293 courses played & counting, yet you've only ranked 290 courses.
What gives?   :D

That's a pretty tough list if those three are in the last three spots.   ;)

John,

I know I fulfilled my promise to take down your Happy Gilmore swing on GCA since you did win a point, but I never said anything about my blog:

Check out http://www.richardgolf.com/. My blog includes golf course construction methods learned from thirty years in the trenches. I'm a former golf course superintendent who decided to drift into golf construction for a change. I've got a truckload of golf construction stories in my head and I hope to get most of them posted on this blog.

I've added posts to help golf course superintendents and managers write construction narratives and basic proposal documents.

Joel,

Jim Tang is on GCA, and is also one of my closest friends.  I don't think you have much to worry about, as he was only blogging about his recent Ireland trip and I don't think he's planning on keeping it going.

Careful of the crafty Jim Tang, and his equally crafty brother Jeff, especially when battling against them as a team in match play.  They are a dangerous duo.

I'm holding out hope for the completion of the trip post. Just for the sake of closure. I mean really, it's not like Jimbo has anything going on right now!
