If the PGA Tour falls through, there's always the LPGA.

I would love to see an event played over the Old White course.  I kind of wonder where the thousands of fans would come from, seeing at it's in a fairly remote location.  But if it was played during the school year, I would certainly make the trip a couple days, since W&L is only an hour away.

The 17th hole at the Old White is only about 510 yards, par 5.  I guess the Tour might try and build a new tee for it, but I'd rather see them play that hole as a par 4 and bring the course to par-69.

Also, I believe the Tour already plays a MacRaynor course: Waialae in Hawaii for the Sony Open, right?

“The first time they were here, they kind of zeroed in on the Greenbrier Course,’’ he said. “There was even discussion of combining holes off of the courses. The last time they were here, they went out on the Old White Course, and they loved it. They absolutely loved it. They said they might change a couple of tees, but they absolutely loved it.’

It begins.
