Mayhugh and Shivas?  The percentages of me attending are increasing with every new confirmation.

Don't pack you r bags just yet. Shivas is famaous for late withdrawal.

You should come anyway though

Dates saved - now to make it work. Cory Lewis did a great job selling the courses today.

He made it to Kingsley so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt ;)

Pending a cost breakdown (and successful negotiations with She who must be obeyed), consider me an addition to the Team North.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Definitely going to try to make it.  As usual it looks like Mr. Whitaker has done another great job of setting this up.

Assuming N vs. S, whose side would I be on?  Born and raised in WV, but since 1965 an NC resident.  WV is below the M-D line, but went its own way in 1863.  My great grandfather, a West Virginian, fought and died for the Union.  I have no Confederate Army relatives that I'm aware of.  I'm confused.

I might be cautiously in for the Sat/Sun portion....and I will convince Simper to come down from RDU because:

1.  He is a new southerner, and needs to be subjected to some Northern aggression.

2.  His golf clothing style has turned from an LA-infused DeNunzio look to the Southern preppy style and needs to be shown off.

3.  I need a ride from the airport.

4.  Oh yeah, he's a decent guy.  :-X
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

Well yeeha.

As a GCAer of malleable loyalties, count me in as a confederate yankee available to play for either side without demand of or hope for remuneration.

Three new courses in November just as the long golfless winter will be approaching me here north of the Appalachians.
Some days you play golf, some days you find things.

I'm not really registered, but I couldn't find a symbol for certifiable.

refresh my memory, is there a north vs south element to this event?

Yes.  This event is subtitled, The War of Northern Aggression.  ;D

Or as a guided tour operator in Charleston once referred to it, "The Period of Unpleasantness".

Count me in but consider me confused about Blue vs. Gray.

Born in Wilmington, NC.
Raised in Harrisburg, PA.
Lived most of the last 20 years in Northern Virginia (that's "Occupied" Virginia to "real" Virginians who love our tax dollars but not much else about us).
A five year stint in New Jersey thrown in for good measure.

I dont understand many people's confusion.  To me, it is a clear choice.  If you dont know right away that you are a northerner, then you arent.  You belong on the inferior side.

 ;D ;D

To the contrary. Noone ever seems confused about his lineage in The South. We might have to fib about some relatives on occasion, but we always know

Let's see, I lived in South Carolina for 2 years, which is totally CANCELLED out by the fact I was born in Oradell, New Jersey! Being born in NJ, there is NO WAY I could possibly play for the Southern team.

Best Played So Far This Season:
Crystal Downs CC (MI), The Bridge (NY), Canterbury GC (OH), Lakota Links (CO), Montauk Downs (NY), Sedge Valley (WI)

A father with his young son board a plane in NYC where they find another man already in his seat.  The precocious boy engages the stranger in small talk and things go well until he asked the man where he was from.  Noticing the awkward moment, the father whispers in the boy's ear "Son, never ask a man where he is from.  If he is from the South he will tell you.  If he is not, don't embarrass him".

We dont have any of those cute little sayings or stories in the north, mainly because we've never had to make ourselves feel better about where we were from... ;D

You just have to trust me JC when I tell you that we feel very good about where we are from. The only thing that really bothers us about where we are from is the constant influx of people from where you are from.  ;)
