MacKenzie Ross's Turnberry

How much of PM Ross's Turnberry is new design vs restoration?

I know CK Huchinson's short lived course from the late 30s was praised and Fernie's even earlier course was well thought of too, though probably more holiday than championship course.

There is a very good thread in the archives which deals with this.  I think it was started by Mark Bourgeois.

I was always under the impression that CK Hutchinson redesigned the Arran .

It was Braid that redesigned the Ailsa in the 1920's  .

I don't know the answer but from hazy memories:  I have seen pre war photos of the great 10th and I'm pretty sure it was much the same.
