JT's golf course is set to open 7/25

My man JT's course is opening next week!

Any Tenn folks planning to check this place out when it opens?

JT spent $16 million renovating this place. I just can't see how he is going to get that money back. Anybody know who did the design work?

Doesn't look so shabby.

16 mill. probably isn't a big deal to Timberlake.....

I applaud JT for the affordable green fees on this golf course. At $59 during the week at least some ordinary folk can play the thing.

I would seriously doubt that he is using his own money.

He is using the money of fathers of teenage girls all over this world.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Looks great.  I saw Big Creek in its former life and this doesn't resemble that at all.

I'll come clean and admit that I like JT the person (not his music) and think its great that he's putting his money where his passion is.  I saw a clip regarding the renovation of this golf course and he really appeared to be enjoying the project and what it would do to improve the sorry state of the course in its previous incarnation.  I hope it does well.

Cheers,

I said it before and I'll say it again:

Aidan should be a professional photographer!

JT seems like a decent enough guy. I remember a friend who's cousin is a Hollywood big-wig. My friend asked him some 25 years ago who would be a real surprise to most guys. His response? Rob Lowe - said he's a regular guy's guy, except he gets women like no one he had ever seen.

DING DING DING DING

We have a winner!!!

I have proof.  There is one - and really only one - golf course on this planet that I truly do hate.  I hate it hate it hate it.  Garbage dump is too good for its description.

THE RANCH AT SILVER CREEK - San Jose, CA

Aidan sent me a photo of a hole on that course... I swear you'd think it's freakin' Oakmont or something, he makes it look THAT good.

Wanna market your course?  Hire Aidan.  The man is truly incredible.

BTW I think it's cool JT did this also.  Good for him.

This project is getting a lot of good publicity in Memphis and rightly so.The problem will be location;it's a long way from just about everything. That's probably what doomed this place in its previous life.

That said,it will immediately become the best public option in town.Reasonable green fees and Timberlake's involvement will get a lot of people to take a look.Whether they become repeat customers, who knows?I do know that Timberlake and the staff have not made one wrong step.A lot of people in town are rooting for them.

The website is mirimichi.com.

Aidan,if you get back this way and would rather play a golf course than photograph it,let me know.

I will definitely try to play a round before the winter, but not sure when it will happen.  Big Creek was one of the courses I played quite a bit when I first took up the game.  I'm interested to see what JT has done with it.  I'm guessing they could have done with four fewer waterfalls on the site, but I'm going to give the actual course the benefit of the doubt until I see it.  I have a few friends in Memphis that will probably make it out before me, so I'll report back on Joe Public's view as I get feedback.
