What is the story with Royal Ottawa and Ottawa Hunt?

Tom,

They were both very good golf courses at the time - and are still both pretty good now.

Royal Ottawa is quirky - but real fun.
Renovations to the bunkers have done this course no favours - but the layout is still largely there.
Jeff's right - a good restoration could do the place wonders and put it back on the map.

Ottawa Hunt is pretty good layout. The re-built greens are so over done that they are rediculous.
They need to rebuild the greens back to Park style pads to fix the place.

Ian,

These days Rosedale is more John Fought, isn't it? Wasn't his recent reno. there extensive? I've seen Fought's plans, but not the Rosedale course since this work was completed.

Just curious,

I think Fought's changes at Rosedale are primarily redoing bunkers with a few rerouting of fairways an minor changes of greens.  I didn't play the course prior to these renos so I can't comment on the course before and after Foiught's work.  There are a couple of strange bunkers however - bunkers on par 3s significantly short of the green that would only trouble very weak golfers - what Tilly called "Duffer's Headaches".

I added Kanawaki. Am I correct in assuming it was one of the better courses?

Did Stanley or Nicole Thompson design St. Thomas?

Does anyone know anything about a golf course called Hurry Skurry? I've included a link to American Golfer, if you go to the last page there is  a picture and some information. It looks interesting. I assume that is the St. Lawrence in the back ground.

It was all Stanley originally - now it's half Robbie Robinson.

Tom,

Kanawaki is Albert Murrray
