Ditto the Bandon statement - just in case anyone is interested in seeing some shots of a pretty incredible golf course . . .
http://www.thewalkinggolfer.com/Pacific_Dunes.htmlPD was certainly my favorite on the property for a few reasons. The site, the routing, the thoughtful design, the survival of so many natural features, the walkability - I do not think I have ever played a more complete course. In my fairly limited experience, Pacific Dunes and Ballybunion are in a different class.
Note: I have not been to Scotland, nor have I played the Monterrey courses, the Aussie sandbelt tracks or the many gems of Long Island. All I am trying to say is that PD is totally and utterly an incredible golfing experience (even/especially in 40 mph winds).
