Concord Resort-The Monster Reno...who did it?
« on: June 19, 2009, 10:24:59 AM »
Anyone know who did the reno work at The Monster?  The Wire and World Golf mention it, but not the reno team.

When was this done?  Short of blow-drying the lakes, it's still an unplayable course from the tips.

This project is NOT listed on Rees Jones' website or any article that I could find. I did find this:

http://www.cutlipgolfdesign.com/projects/index.htm

and this:

The course recently reopened:

Steve,
Thanks for what looks like the correct information. Last time I was there, right before they were closing the course, the word at the shop was Rees.

And that's a bad angle.  Concord on a good day looks like Bethpage Black on its monsooniest, with no arcs in site.

As far as I know, Rees Jones has nothing to do with the redesign - Ron Cutlip does
