While watching the Memorial on TV, this past weekend (my first time seeing the course), I was disappointed with the green complexes. From a strategic perspective, they may be the greatest things on Earth, and I was impressed with the accuracy demanded of many of the shots. I thought that the aesthetics, though, seemed to be sorely lacking in the area of proportion. I thought that, in general, the greenside bunkers were tiny for the sizes of the greens, and tended to be extremely close to the putting surfaces. When combined with a water hazard, the effect was akin to:

Did anybody else feel that way?
