Here are mine = but first I have to say I just love
Chechessee Creek Club
and have truly enjoyed getting to know the course really well. It is a joy and privilege, and just a great golf experience. Will be there on March 16 for five days !! ^
. But, wouldn't one be expected to list C C C ??
Dan Grossman - one of my five is also my alma mater;s course Bucknell GC . Not sure the last time you played it, but a few years ago they really cleared out the undergrowth and trees especially on the back nine. There were too many evergreens and opening it up has been great, including the left side of 14 where if you pulled the tee shot a little it was "morte". Quite a lot of sidehill lies, but reasonable. Shot a 31 on the back in spring 1980 after many pony R Rocks !!
1. Bucknell Golf Club, Lewisburg, PA USA
2. Pocantico Hills Golf Club, Tarrytown, NY USA - perhaps Wm Flynns most unusual course. HARD to get on.
3. Nord Nederlandse Golf & Country Club, Glimmen, Province of Groningen, the Netherlands. Could have said Royal Haagse, but everyone would say that.
4. Highland Links, Truro, Massachusetts, USA- truest links course I have played in the US.
5. Club de Golf Cowansville, Cowansville, Province of Quebec, Canada - maybe the best deal on golf I ever had. $28 canadian in the afternoon with a trolley and a sleeve of Titlelist NXT Tours.! NO ONE on the course. This was a few years ago.
Other candidates: Heathlands G C - Onakema, MI, Beuna Vista G C - Beuna Vista, NJ, Lake Waramaug CC - Lake Waramaug, CT, Saranac Lake GC. Saranac Lake, NY, Green Pond - Newfoundland, NJ ( looks like it's gone). Cummaquid G C - Yarmouthport, MA
