Jay:

Understand this:  it is not MY course in any way shape or form.  I have been privileged to be a guest there several times.  But outside of this - and my friendship with Mr. Huntley - I have absolutely zero connection to MPCC.  I imagine the club is pleased by this status.

 ;)

So my thoughts have zero to do with any sort of course love or homerism or courage of convictions, and everything to do with logic as I see it.

The whole thing to me makes zero logical sense.  Thus the only thing that would pleasantly surprise me is if this decision is rescinded, and it goes back to Poppy Hills.

In earlier posts it was posited that the Shore Course may well be overwhelmed by the Pros in the A.T. & T. National Pro-Am when held on the Shore.  On Sunday last, Chad Vivolo, son of our Head Professional, broke the course record of 64, held by Vijay Singh, by one stroke, a 63.

He played from the tips and had nine birdies and no bogeys. Vivolo for Pepperdine University.
