(This thread is not meant to be self-congratulatory navel-gazing, nor self-referentially incoherent rambling. It is meant to be a brainstorming session.)



So, I'd like people to chime in with thread titles or ideas or subjects they have come up with but haven't had occasion to use. Post your title and as many or as few explanatory words as you see fit. Maybe it is just a clever play on words, a pun, or perhaps it is very serious. If it's in your head, but not doing you much good, get it out. It may spark someone else's imagination or idea and turn into a classic.


Personally I didn't have any I really liked, so I made a few up just now to show you what I mean.

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

I've always wanted to start a thread called "Anima - Jung's Idea of the Feminine in Golf Course Architecture".

I'm serious.

I've just never had the nerve, perhaps for obvious reasons....

As for Titles, how about:

"My name is Pat Mucci and I was woefully wrong about......", or
"Clementon, NJ.  Any suggestions for golf in the area?", or
"I'm visiting Scotland next week.  Does it rain there?"

  Good ones. I live in a golf community that has a owner in bankruptcy and I miss Kavanaugh. Nice post Cary.
