Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

While June 1 is the "grand opening" I'd be surprised if the entire course wasn't open for play prior to that date.

Don't they normally take the soft opening followed by formal opening approach at Bandon?  I suspect we could have booked times at OM in May although I didn't ask when we booked our trip.

The official opening is June 1, 2010, as Peter correctly reported.

For sure, some people will get to play the entire 18 before then, but I think it will be limited to special groups [such as the Golf Club Atlas group that Ran is putting together for early May].  I don't think they will book tee times for the new 18 in April or May.

It's possible that some people will get to play the full 18 as early as October or November of this year, but I doubt they will cut cups on the newer holes until next spring, since the newer greens will not be up to speed with the older ones.
