Bill I've done Spokane to Portland in 5.5 hrs no problem, 5 if you pick the right spots to quicken the pace.  ;D

Walla Walla is easily 2 hrs closer to Portland, so you do the math.  ;)

Mapquest has it at 4 hours 10 minutes. That is probably an indication of sane speeds.
