NY Times has just begun a new golf section called "On Par".

They republished an article around golf architecture which does a fine review of courses by Stiles and Van Kleek. Very good read!

I need to learn a bit more about this team. Seems to be one of the first instances of a trained landscape architect putting his education to use in a golf realm. Did anyone find out more about Lake Lure? It would be a reasonable drive, but might be worth it since most of their work seems to be in the Northeast, no?
