Palmetto Golf Club SC - disregard

Hi All,

I am playing palmetto golf club in Aiken, SC this week. Has anybody else played there? what is the course like? any special features to take note of?

there was a thread a couple weeks back with pics and descriptions of the holes. I played 36 out there 2 weeks back and it is a special place. Defiantly walk around the old locker room, pretty special. As for the golf course, stay below the pins. Down hill putts are brutal out there. Conditioning for tees, fairways and greens are perfect. Rough is still dormant so not to difficult.

I still can't believe this course doesn't get more recognition, one of my all time favorite clubs.

Herb Leeds designed the first really good course in the NE - Myopia - and the first really good course in the SE - Palmetto.

Yes Palmetto deserves more attention. So does Herbert Leeds. He was there the firstest with the mostest. By a couple of decades.
