I had picked that picture randomly from a Google Image search, but I wonder now: How do you build such a bunker in the early-twentieth century? Did MacRaynor build up that green? If so, how did they go "back down" to build the bunker, without the whole thing giving way? Would such a Road Hole bunker prove far more difficult to build than say the large, deep bunker to the right of that green that has an easier (it seems from photographs) entry?
Someone may/will have a simple answer, but I'd love to see a photograph of the construction, or read an explanation, either specific to NGLA or to MacRaybanks courses in general.
