Pics of Dye course at French Lick
« on: June 24, 2009, 01:07:35 PM »
Found this guys flickr account with a ton of pics of the new dye course at french lick. Here's the link

I dont remember seeing a dye course that had so little bunkering inside the doglegs. Most of the bunkering on this course seems to be on the outside of the doglegs. Instead, on the inside fo the doglegs there is almost anyways a falloff that goes down a valley. While the course looks visually striking and is probably a lot of fun to play, I think this cliffhanging feature down one side on almost every hole is a bit redundant after a while.
The greens also appear to be quite small. And yes, dye's bunkers are very unnatural looking, but for some reason I find his bunker style more interesting than almost anyone's...and at least they play like a hazard!
the interviewer asked beck how he felt "being the bob dylan of the 90's" and beck quitely responded "i actually feel more like the bon jovi of the 60's"

Matt-

I posted quite a few pictures in a thread about a month ago.

I enjoyed the course a bunch. The pictures really don't do the course justice.

All, or almost all, the doglegs seem to go left?  True or are the pictures screwing with me?

Here is a link to pics of the Ross course if anyone is interested:
