O.T. Anyone catch Henrik Stenson's act at Doral?
« on: March 16, 2009, 05:40:12 PM »
What was up with the Swede going ultimate Euro and shedding all his clothes to hit a shot out of the mud at the CA Championship last Thursday?

Fanny: "What the hell you doing?"
Euro Star: "Just signed a deal with Bjorn Borg Tighty Whitey Briefs. It's all about
                 exposure. Yardage to the pin?"
Fanny: "152, front edge 140."
Euro Star: "Pitching wedge...how do I look?"
Fanny: "Great package. I didn't have to deal with this shit when Faldo and I were
            winning majors."

I was wondering how long it would take before we had a thread on this.

Well, I didn't see it live, but I did see the replays a dozen times. Classy move. At least it was someone in decent shape and not Craig Stadler or something. Imagine if Stadler had taken off his pants that time he put the towel down on the ground so he wouldn't get those Sansabelt slacks dirty. Now thats a bad thought.

Anthony, I apologize for my obvious failed attempt at a little levity this Monday afternoon. BTW, did Mr. Moore below you call it a "classy move?"

Surely that's something I never hope to see again.

I suppose if he was wearing all white that day, a la Nick Watney, I'd understand, but I'm failing to see the rationale behind this!
What does it matter if the poor player can putt all the way from tee to green, provided that he has to zigzag so frequently that he takes six or seven putts to reach it?     --Alistair Mackenzie--

One time I was playing in my orange knickers. I went ahead of the group because I assumed that a fellow player (and teammate) was going to lay up. Insted he tried to cross the hazard with his shot and was unsuccessful. So he rips into me and says my pants distracted him. We all finished the hole which took another 20 minutes. So on the next tee a par three he keeps it up. So I take off my pants and par the hole in my underwear while this guy gets a double.

There has got to be a rule against that...

Is that a standard size head on a regular flex shaft, or an oversize head on a......oh, never mind.

PMick was asked about that situation and he dead-panned:

"Yeah, I don't know if I would do that."

Very funny.

Aye, I did say it was a classy move. Sarcasm my friend.

And its a damn good thing too that Mickelson wouldn't do that. Nobody wants to see those saggy man titties of his.

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

It pains me to do this, but its only cause I beleive in balance in all things. To keep the thread in equilibrium...   ;D

Oh yes, I'd pay good money to see her hit a golf shot in nothing but boxer shorts.
