Given a good enough golf course, would the European model work in the U.S?
1. private memberships - after up front initiation, little or no annual dues, private bar/locker area, set aside tee times, or spread out tee times allowing for flexibility when member shows up unexpectedly,
2. public access - access allowed which would subsidize operations and member dues
3. Golf course - simple clubhouse, focused on golf only
RCD is considered one of the most exclusive clubs in the world yet the public is allowed if they book far enough in advance. Granted it is one of the best, but would this type of model and other similar Euro models work in the U.S., why or why not?
If it has been discussed at length before, please refer me if possible. Thank you
