In Australia, I'd say there's Peter Thompson, who builds mounds and bunkers everywhere, Mike Clayton, who builds interesting, strategic courses closer to the Doak / C&C style, and then there's Ross Watson who'd be somewhere in between. He has a sense for strategy but he is not outstanding in any way, but not a bad architect either. This is not a valuable opinion though, I've played to little courses to justify, but thats sort of a feeling...........
