For those interested in Philadelphia golf, Billy Casper golf has taken over the muni's in the City of Brotherly Love, including Cobb's Creek.  Is this good news???

Considering the semi-good job they did in Chicago, esp. with the old Forest Preserve National, yeah I think so.

They just won the Chicago Park District contract this past winter.

This is sort of old news. Casper managed all the munis for the past few years. Last year the city awarded a new management contract to Casper for only some of the munis- Cobbs, Byrne & FDR. Walnut Lane and Juniata were left hanging and are now managed by local groups. Then, in November, the voters elected to change the City Charter, giving control of the courses to the city's Dept of Recreation instead of the Fairmount Park Commission. A new contract is being negotiated with the City.
