Emmet last name has only one tee.  And, that same American Golfer magazine credit's Emmet for the course numerous other occasions - especially one where they feature the courses of Bermuda - I will get the date.

Hi Chris,

I'll be very interested to see the magazine in question.   I know George Bahto's book mentioned a possible Macdonald/Raynor connection to Riddell's, but that was the only source I'd seen to date.
