Returning to the Ehru - tell me, what pitch and temperament do you use in the States? I'd been wondering about bringing mine last time I visited, but I wasn't sure that it would work alongside yours, so I brought the golf clubs instead - BIG mistake!

"Green Complex"

Hate it, hate it, hate it.  Especially since all GCAs are beyond fond of the term.

On that other topic, are you guys spelling it correctly?  Is Ehru your version of Erhu?  If so, have fun playing glof today at the Jnas.

OK my mispelling makes it even funnier.. at least I think so.

Of course it is ERHU....

Funny thing is - no lie - my son had this as one of his spelling words awhile back... I sounded it out for him...

"Plate," or "shrimp," or "Plate'o'Shrimp."

or..."affordable."

I'm also dubious of "links-style," even though sometimes such courses are great.

Tom and Dave....tsk, tsk.  You two should be ashamed of yourselves for messing with Ed like that.

If your looking to kiss and make-up you can start here by getting him one of these.

Kalen, you should know that this all started many years ago when Ed made an aside about taking up the ehru, and I got curious because I'd never heard of the blasted thing.

When I Googled it, the first thing I saw was that picture of that Chinese guy wearing that goofy hat, and it was instantly a tears-streaming-down-the-eyes moment.

Add to that the fact that I've ALWAYS spelled the damn thing wrong, and you understand the depth of the inside joke...

Dave,

I actually was aware of what happened, and it is funny.  My last post was perhaps a bad attempt at subtle humor as well.  I guess the 3 of us will all burn in hell...together....and have to listen to Erhu music non-stop as apart of our punishment.

I also Googled the greatest hits album that Huckaby refers to, but couldn't find it.  ::)

"Tour groups welcome."

A few years ago I watched a Japanese woman take 27 strokes to reach the green on a par 3 hole.  That was fun.
