Not that Joel's book about Pete Dye's career needed any additional validation, but I recently learned that this book won ING Book of the year honors.

A big congrats to GCA's own Joel on a job well done for all the countless hours in putting this together and doing a fine job to boot!

All the Dyes are very pleased with this award, as of course am I.  I have some very special, limited-edition Pete Dye--signed books I am going to release in celebration of the award...as one might imagine, there are very few of these to be had.

Thanks Ed--The fact is that I've only run into Pete just recently..was with him in Ft Lauderdale about 10 days ago, and at a PGA Show event the other day near Orlando, and got him to sign a handful of copies each time...when GCA-types were ordering personally inscribed copies from me back in the fall, I didn't have a single book of this nature available.
